The Dang-Its perform a wide range of roots-oriented music best summarized as “Americana,” a rich mix of styles which includes bluegrass, Western Swing, honky tonk, country swing and country blues, folk, classic and alternative country, and original songs. Band members Tom Waselchuk (guitar, vocals), Rick Nass (pedal steel guitar), and Matt Rodgers (upright bass, vocals) will be joined by special guest Jami Lampkins (guitar, banjo, vocals). Ms. Lampkins was a full time member of The Dang-Its from 2009 – 2015.

 

The Dang-Its have released five albums and performed throughout the Midwest in their 22-year history. In addition to receiving recognition from listener’s polls in their hometown of Madison WI, The Dang-Its have garnered seven nominations from the Madison Area Music Association, winning two awards: 2013 Country/Bluegrass Performer of the Year, and 2014 Country/Bluegrass Album of the Year, for their album A Lick of Sense. The current band also forms the core of a separate musical venture, a classic country music revue titled Sweet Dreams & Honky Tonks: The Music and Lives of Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, and Johnny Cash.
