I barely knew Jodi Jean Amble when I first heard her sing at BeatleFest 2016. It was my first visit to BeatleFest, and I thought, “This looks like fun. I am going to perform here next year, and I’m going to perform with Jodi Jean.” And so I did. Along with Doug Brown and an ace rhythm section, we performed at BeatleFest 9 in September 2017 as The Honey Pies. We’ve continued in a trio format since then and are looking forward to a fruitful partnership going forward. It’s fitting that we celebrate our first year of performing together at BeatleFest 10 on September 3, 2018.
